The results are in for February’s photography competition.

February is the month of love so what better way to celebrate this then for the theme of our photography competition to be ‘Love in Nature’.

From heart shaped fungi to mothers and their young, the entries we received this month where incredible!

The winner, decided via our public vote, of February’s photo competition is … Zoe Hodkinson!

A mothers love

Zoe Hodkinson

A mother’s love is truly a magical thing, and Zoe has managed to capture this perfectly within this stunning photograph.

Taken at Warton Crag Nature Reserve this woolly sheep, and her little lamb truly melted the hearts of our voters. One of our voter’s said ‘You can feel the love between the two with a calm, peaceful background, as though their love for each other is the only thing that matters’

From the misty atmosphere of the early morning to the touching moment between the two, this image captures the theme of ‘Love in Nature’ perfectly.

Runner up

This fantastic photograph taken by Mark Harder, was chosen as our runner up this month by our wonderful voters. This photograph captures this vixen and cub beautiful. Voter’s loved how clear the foxes are in this image and how he managed to capture such a lovely moment between the two.

One voter said ‘ It just oozes with love between a mother and child.’
