Photography Competition Results - January 2025

Tracy Robinson

The results are in for January’s photography competition!

As we come to the end of January, we look back at all the incredible wildlife we have seen across our nature reserves.

The theme for this month’s photography competition was ‘Winter Wildlife Wonders’ and the entries we have received this month have not disappointed. From the famous winter classic that is the Robin to Barn Owls and more, we have loved seeing all the incredible wildlife that can be found whilst exploring our reserves.

Take a look at your winners

For the first time we let you be the judges of our photography competition, deciding who our winner’s would be from each category, and here they are.

Zara Carrier

Our under 16’s Winner is … Zara Carrier!

The winner from our over 16’s category is … Tracy Robinson!

This photograph, taken at Brockholes Nature Reserve, is incredible and really highlights this magnificent Blackbird. One voter added that it is ‘A lovely close up of the blackbird’ as it feeds on the berries. The whole composition of this photograph is very well executed and fits the theme of 'Winter Wildlife Wonders' perfectly.

The winning photographs this month are wonderful! However there can be only one winner overall who's image will feature in our 2026 wildlife calendar for January.
