How we are run
Working for a wilder future, for everyone
We’re one of 47 Wildlife Trusts spread across the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney. We’re Lancashire’s leading local wildlife charity and are dedicated to restoring and protecting wild places and bringing wildlife back to Lancashire, Greater Manchester and North Merseyside; to halt the biodiversity and climate crisis while helping more people experience the joy of nature in their daily lives.
Though part of the wider Wildlife Trusts movement, we’re an independent, self-governed charity with its own Board of Trustees. As a movement, we come together to be a powerful voice for nature, collaborating on national campaigns as well as our work on your doorstep.
Our Trustees
Our Trustees bring a wealth of knowledge and wide-ranging experience to our charity. Together, they play an essential role in the governance of the Trust, providing strategic leadership and working collectively to monitor activities, scrutinise performance and support our staff, empowering them to make a real difference for wildlife in our region.
Taking care of our supporters
Our supporters are our lifeblood. They fund our conservation work, help us survey rare wildlife, help us connect more people with nature and give us the means to influence policy at both a national and local level; making more wins for wildlife in Parliament.
You mean the world to us, and we want to make sure that we return your kindness and generosity with exceptional standards of supporter care: valuing, respecting and listening to you, every step of the way.
Our policies
From safeguarding vulnerable young people and adults to operating as lightly on the earth as possible, we have policies in place to make sure we do our very best for people and nature. You can read them below.
How we look after your data
We promise to treat your data with the same professionalism and care we extend to your local wildlife. We respect your privacy, we'll never sell your details, and you may change your preferences at any time.
Help us do better
We want to exceed our supporters’ expectations in everything we do, but we understand that we may not always get it right. When this happens, we’d really like to hear about it so we can make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Your opinion matters and we take complaints very seriously – if you’d like to make a complaint, use the button below to get in touch.
