November 2024 Photography Competition

November 2024 Photography Competition

Darren Taylor

The results are in for November’s photography competition.

As we venture into Winter, we take a look this month at the incredible ‘Shades of Autumn’ that we have seen across our region.

The way that our landscapes change throughout the autumn months is wonderful to see. We watch as the leaves turn from luscious green to the deep browns and oranges that are so distinctive with this time of year.

The entries received this month were incredible and truly embodied the theme. Unfortunately, our judges can only pick one winner, a task that was extremely difficult this month as we received so many amazing entries.

The winner of November’s photography competition is … Andrew Bradley!

Little Egret

Andrew Bradley

What a beautiful photograph! The timing of this image, capturing the Egret as it opens its wings for take-off, is perfect. The composition and colour of this photograph amazed our judges. The contrast between the beautiful white plumage of the Egret against the orange hues of the trees in the background, is wonderful.

Jubilee Tower

Diane H Leeming

Second place goes to Diane H Leeming and her wonderful sunset over Jubilee Tower in Darwen. The colours captured in this photograph, as the sun sets and illuminates the tower in the distance, are incredible.

The fall had begun

Darren Taylor

Finally, third place goes to Darren Taylor and his wonderful autumnal landscape. From the fallen leaves blanketing the forest floor to the way that the trees are lined up, creating a path through the forest that the viewer wants to explore, really captivated our judges.

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their wonderful images! To see all the incredible entries we received, please take a look at the album below. The winner will be contacted via email with details of how to redeem their £100 optics voucher prize.
