Do you have an interest in moths? Join us for an exciting citizen science opportunity with the Wet Willow Wildlife Project and help us to gain a deeper insight into the populations of specialist moths and their conservation needs.

We are looking for volunteers to carry out moth surveys in New Moss Wood (M44 5JT) for the Wet Willow Wildlife project.

Following training volunteers will form a local volunteering group who will work together to carry out light trapping and pheromone lures to collect moth records. Volunteers will collaborate to carry out monthly moth recording from May to November.

Some knowledge of moths would be preferable, but not essential—what matters most is a passion for nature and a willingness to contribute to meaningful conservation efforts.

Apply today and become part of this exciting citizen science project!

If you are selected you will need to be available to attend an indoor training workshop which will take place at the Environmental Resource Centre, Bolton Office (BL2 6DH), from 5pm to 7pm on Friday 2nd May 2025.

If you're interested in getting involved and can attend the training please apply by clicking the link below which will take you to Assemble, our Volunteer Management System.
