Livestock Checking Volunteers – Mere Sands Wood

Livestock Checking Volunteers – Mere Sands Wood

Reference: Livestock Checker - Mere Sands Wood
Location:
We are looking for volunteers to join our team of livestock checkers.

Training will be given in how to behave around livestock and what signs to be aware of to ensure that the animals are grazing in a safe environment.

Each checker visits the site once a week to check the health and welfare of the livestock grazing there and this takes around an hour and a half.

It's a great opportunity to spend time outdoors enjoying nature whilst checking the animals, making sure the fences are intact and keeping an eye out for any other reportable issues.

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Livestock Checker to join our Team at Mere Sands Wood to do checks on a Wednesday or a Sunday between April and October.
