Darwen moor is currently undergoing peatland restoration to reduce the risk of wildfire and flooding to the local areas and restore priority habitat for the many birds, insects and plant species that rely on this habitat.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with planting sphagnum moss across Darwen Moor to protect the peat and restore function to the bog. This will take place at work parties between late November and the end of March.
