Are you interested in taking learning outside the classroom but don't know where to start? Our Nature-based Learning Team is here to help. Made up of highly experienced and successful qualified teachers and environmental educators, we understand the realities, needs and priorities of schools.

Outdoor learning has been shown to have a range of benefits for pupils:

Staff INSET Training

Delivered within your own school setting, our Outdoor Learning CPD Training is suitable for all members of staff including headteachers, teachers, teaching assistants and SENCOs from EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

The training is focused on developing a whole-school approach to Outdoor Learning, building teachers’ confidence to plan and deliver effective outdoor lessons, and generally covers the following topics:

The benefits of Outdoor Learning for both pupils and staff
Breaking down barriers to Outdoor Learning
Examples of low-cost, simple, outdoor activities and lessons from across the curriculum
How to make the most of your outdoor space

We offer a bespoke service, and will tailor the training to suit your requirements. With full day, half day and twilight INSET options available, we can work with you to put together a training session that meets your needs. We can also deliver subject-specific Outdoor Learning CPD whether you are interested in outdoor maths, English, Science, or would like a different focus for your training.
