We are looking for volunteers to carry out moth surveys at Wigg Island (WA7 1LU) or Oxmoor Wood (WA7 1RS) for the Wet Willow Wildlife project.

Following training volunteers will form a local volunteering group at each site and work together to carry out monthly light trapping and pheromone lures from May to November to collect moth records.

Some knowledge of moths would be preferable, but not essential—what matters most is a passion for nature and a willingness to contribute to meaningful conservation efforts.

Apply today and become part of this exciting citizen science project!

If you are selected you will need to be available to attend an indoor training workshop which will take place at Crow Wood Park (WA8 3LL), from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday 26th April 2025. Weather permitting, the group will have the opportunity to head out to the site to set a moth trap and record moths, continuing activities until around 10 pm.

If you're interested in getting involved and can attend the training please apply by clicking the link below which will take you to Assemble, our Volunteer Management System.
