Saturday 17th May | 10am to 3pm

The Greenhouse Project is a Nature and Wellbeing community space that has a range of food growing areas and facilities which you will see, and you can take part in practical seed sowing activities. All proceeds from the workshop will go towards continuing to run and develop the site.

During the day you will take part in practical activities and tasks to help you improve your food growing skills; you will find out how to:

· Assess your own Growing Space

· Improve your soil and make compost

· Select suitable vegetable and fruit varieties

· Grow in raised beds and/or containers

· Sow seeds to take home

· Manage Pests, Diseases, and weeds organically

At the end of the workshop, you will take home your seed trays/pots and have a personal growing planner of what and when to plant in your food growing space.

Please wear comfortable, practical clothes and sturdy footwear as we will tour around the growing space at the Greenhouse project. Gloves will be provided.

Hot drinks will be available, but please bring along snacks or a packed lunch.
