The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester & North Merseyside are delighted to have taken over the running of the café in Queen’s Park, Bolton, creating a community space that also helps to support nature.

As well as our Retail and Catering operation, the Café will become a hub for the community filled with nature themed activities, wellbeing sessions and educational events.

As a Baking and Kitchen Volunteer you will have a fun and engaging opportunity to be the creative director of our cake and biscuit range! We have big ambitions to bake all our cakes and sweet treats in-house and to sell them via our café .

You will have access to our kitchen and with a bit of guidance you will choose what to bake, aiming to keep items themed around the time of the year, alongside baking the traditional favourites!

The income that we generate from selling the sweet treats that you bake, in the café, helps us to support our vital conservation work, both in Bolton and beyond!

It is important to point out that this isn’t a traditional kitchen role where food is made to order in a high pressure environment. We are a relaxed site, with a small kitchen, and a nice friendly team on site. We bake on the quieter days ready for the busy weekends!
