Ben has already surveyed Hameldon Hill in Burnley with promising results and is keen to return there.
Over the past few years the surveys have been popular with nature enthusiasts and Ben has a great knowledge of the bees he meets.
Provisional date (all dependent on the weather) are as follows:
• Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17 - Areas around Oswaldtwistle Moor and Priestley Clough - higher ground in west of Hyndburn.
• Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15 - Areas around Hameldon and Baxenden - higher ground in east of Hyndburn.
• Saturday July 28 and Sunday July 29 - Areas around Hameldon and Baxenden - higher ground in east of Hyndburn.
Past surveys have included solitary been on Billinge Hill, mining bees on Carr Mill Dam and bilberry bees at White Coppice.
Please contact Ben on 01772 324129 or bhargreaves@lancswt.org.uk to join the surveys and to check they are going ahead.
