Our green wellbeing project, Myplace, has been leading the way in encouraging people to enjoy spending quality time in nature, sometimes for the first time in their lives.
A typical session outside with Myplace can include anything from going on a wildlife walk, learning some bushcraft or taking part in some practical conservation. All of these activities have been scientifically proven to make us feel happier, healthier and more connected to our surroundings.
One participant said: “I feel I have really connected with nature and its really helped my mental health. I now feel part of something and want to carry this on with some sort of conservation work.”
