Our health can be affected by many things that doctors or medicine alone cannot treat. Circumstances such as loneliness, financial pressures, poor housing, employment issues and many more can put a strain on our wellbeing, contributing to poor mental and physical health.
Social prescribing can help change these circumstances by connecting people to non-medical support rooted in the community.

Types of social prescribing include:
-
Be More Social: Friendship, trust, fun, and local activities
-
Get Active: Nature, exercise, sports, dance, and walking
-
Stay Healthy: Volunteering, nutrition, and managing conditions
-
Live Independently: Home support, mobility, and life changes
-
Boost Mental Wellbeing: Community programmes and personal goals
-
Financial Support: Benefits, debt, housing, and employment advice

What is Green Social Prescribing?
At it's core it works on the same principles as social prescribing, but with a focus on green activity.
