Make a Bird Box Workshop
About the event
Come and find out about birds and where they nest and make a nest-box. Boxes will be installed in parks and woods locally. We’ll make a map on the Lancaster City Council website so you can see where they are.
The session will provide all the materials you need to put together a nest box. The activities are suitable for families, for children 5+.
There will be three one-hour public sessions at the Gregson Arts and Community Centre in Lancaster at: 11:30, 13:45 & 15:15.
Please book early, as places are limited [10 per session]. One family booking provides one bird box for you to make. Each bird box construction needs supervision by a parent/guardian. If you want to make more than one box, please book another family ticket.
There are toilets and there’s a café too. No dogs please.
This is a joint event by Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Lancaster City Council.
