About the event

Zooplankton - animal drifters - are the most amazing and diverse aquatic organisms that you can barely see! Some spend their entire lives in the water column. Others, like crabs, snails and sea urchins, grow from planktonic larvae into the adult animals we are familiar with. Marine biologist, Mark Woombs, takes us from single-celled organisms to possibly the longest animal in the world (which lives in Morecambe Bay). [Also our short AGM].

We are a friendly, local group of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust who meet throughout the year to share our interest in the natural world. Our wildlife talks are held in the Church of the Ascension hall, Michaelson Avenue, Torrisholme, LA4 6RH at 7.30pm on the second Friday of every month from September to March. Anyone who enjoys nature is welcome. Entry is £3 (includes free refreshments).
