Local groups
Local Groups are run by some of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust's most dedicated volunteers and offer a wide range of activities such as talks, field trips, work parties and fundraising events.

Croal Irwell Group
The Croal Irwell Local Group help with the management of Summerseat Nature Reserve (Bury) at the monthly volunteer work parties. They also run a series of monthly natural history talks in Prestwich and field trips to sites in the North-West and in North Wales (usually with a tasty pub lunch!)
Activities: Monthly Tuesday evenings at Our Lady of Grace, The Cottage, Highfield Road, Prestwich, M25 1AS starting at 7.30pm, admission and refreshments £4 donation.
Field Trips: Take place monthly on Wednesdays and details are available at the indoor meetings or by phoning 07377 539882.

North Lancashire Wildlife Group
The North Lancashire Wildlife Group are keen to encourage more people to take part in recording wildlife. Members can offer help and advice in their particular fields and you are welcome to attend their meetings, field outings or recording sessions. They also produce an annual publication which celebrates the wildlife in North Lancashire and South Cumbria (for more info please visit their website using the link below).
Activities: Indoor meetings take place in the church hall of the Church of the Ascension, Michaelson Avenue, Torrisholme, Morecambe, LA4 6RH - second Friday of the month from October to March. Entry is £3 towards expenses; light refreshments are provided. Anyone who enjoys nature is welcome.
